How it works

  1. Tell us what it is, its condition and what comes with it: use the form below, call, or bring it in.
  2. We make you an offer. We may ask for a photo or two.
  3. Bring it to the Windmill Centre with photo ID. We check it matches the description and you sign a short declaration that it’s yours to sell.
  4. We pay you by bank transfer or cash, then securely erase it before it’s reused or recycled.

Before you sell

  • Back up anything you want to keep: photos, messages, documents.
  • Sign out of iCloud, Google or Microsoft and turn off Find My. A device still locked to an account can’t be reused, so it’s worth much less. We can help at the counter.
  • Take out your SIM and memory cards.
  • Bring the charger and box if you still have them.

Buying a replacement? We’ll take its value off a refurbished computer.

Questions

How much will you pay for my device?

It depends on the model, its condition and what comes with it. Tell us about it with the form or bring it in and we’ll make you an offer. There’s no obligation to sell.

Do you buy faulty or broken devices?

Often, yes. Broken screens and faulty machines can still be worth something for parts. Tell us what’s wrong and we’ll make an offer.

What do I need to bring?

The device, photo ID such as a driving licence or passport, and the charger and box if you have them. We note the type of ID we saw.

What happens to my data?

We securely erase every device we buy before it’s reused or recycled. Business sellers can have a data erasure certificate for each drive.

Can I sell a phone that’s on contract or finance?

Only once you own it outright. You’ll sign a declaration that it’s yours to sell and isn’t on finance or reported lost or stolen.

Do you buy from businesses?

Yes: single machines or whole office clear-outs of laptops, desktops, workstations and servers. Tell us what you have and how many. We’re a registered waste carrier, broker and dealer (CBDU442004).

Can I trade it in against a refurbished computer?

Yes. We’ll take the value of your old device off the price of a refurbished computer built to your budget.
